The invention relates to synergistically active pharmaceutical compositions and/or feed premixes useful primarily for the treatment of diarrhoea and process for preparing the same. The compositions according to the invention comprise 6, 9, 18-tris(2-amino-ethyl)-15-benzyl-21- [2, 8-bis(2-amino-ethyl)-5-(1-hydroxy-ethyl)-15-methyl-4, 7, 10-trioxo-3, 6, 9-triazaheptadecane-amido]-3- (1-hydroxy-ethyl)-12-isobutyl-1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19-heptaaza-cyclotri-cosane-2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20-heptaon, i.e. polymyxin B, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, 2,4-diamino-5(3',4'-dimethoxy-benzyl)-pyrimidine i.e. diaveridin and, if desired, 2-[2, 6-dimethyl-3-hydroxy-4-(tertiary-butyl)-benzyl-2-imidazoiline i.e. oxymetazoline or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. |
