PURPOSE:To prevent the phenomenon that the calcium ions in diluting water form a precipitate by bonding with the silicic acid in a developer by confining the content of the calcium ions in an aq. soln. to <= 10mg/l. CONSTITUTION:This device has a mechanism to subject the diluting water to an ion exchange before mixing the water with the concd. developer to confine the concns. of the calcium ions in the aq. soln containing alkali silicate to <=10 angle. The substantially unused developer is supplied to the surface to be developed of a photosensitive planographic printing plate at every processing. The unused developer refers to the developer which is not used for development of the photosensitive planographic printing plate. The substantially unused developer refers to the developer having the developing power substantially equal to the developing power of the unused developer, if not the unused developer. The phenomenon that the calcium ions in the diluting water form the precipitate by bonding to the silicic acid is prevented in this way. |
