A projection device reflects a picture of the eye into an observation unit and a laser controlled by unit which follows the positions on the eye to be treated. These positions to be treated are marked on the picture and the unit is programmed to direct the laser onto them. The control unit has a picture sensor which detects the eye and a working unit. The reflected picture is a video picture followed by the control unit which stores the parameters for the treatment. The control unit stops the treatment if the picture inadequately covers the eye.
