The walling system supports the sides of a trench, having pairs of opposite vertical supports (1,1') at regular intervals along the trench and held apart by transverse stiffening members (3). Guide channels (4,4') on opposite sides of the supports accommodate the edges of walling panels (5,6;5',6'). The latter are of large area, double-skinned and of steel plate, with rollers (7) on tranverse axes at their edges, running against the sides (2) of the supports. At the four corners of each panel pockets (11,11') are formed between the inner and outer skins (8,9) and open towards the narrow edges (10). More than 60 percent of each roller is contained inside the pocket. ADVANTAGE - No jamming of panels between supports.
