PURPOSE:To prevent the dropping of a developer on a device from a developer storing means even if a dispersion medium is excessively replenished by means of the misoperation of a dispersion medium replenishing means by providing an excess developer discharging part on the side surface of the developer storing housing means. CONSTITUTION:The developer tanks of yellow, magenta, and cyan 1, 2, and 3 are sequentially moved up to just under a drum 50 together with a tank fixing member 9 on rails 7 and 8, by a driving means, and develop a photoconductive sensitizing paper 51 whose surface has the formation of an electrostatic latent image to visualize it. At this time, for instance, for replenishing the dispersion medium to the tank 1, the tank 1 is moved under the replenishing port of a dispersion medium replenishing tank 58, and the developer inside the tank 1 is replenished to obtain a prescribed quantity by a controller. However, when the developer is erroneously replenished much more than the prescribed quantity, the developer excessively replenished is discharged from a developer discharging port 41, and then, led to a waste liquid tank 6 by a pip 10. |
