Short circuit arc welding system - includes second parallel welding current circuit to help control the arc spread and plasma during the arcing phase
摘要
Short circuit arc welding system consists of a welding station (W) with consumable electrode and workpiece; a DC source (10); means (34) for regulating a high frequency welding current to ensure a current with a predetermined time-dependent profile during the short circuit electrode phase and the phase when the electrode is spaced from the workpiece; and welding current circuit (20) with a first means (22) for producing a first inductive resistance connected between the current regulator and the welding station which determines the time-dependent profile of the current; and a second background circuit (100) parallel to the current regulator means and the first inductive resistance for feeding a second current to the weld station. This second circuit has a second inductive resistance (110) which is considerably greater than the first inductive resistance. ADVANTAGE - The second background circuit enables the spread of the arc during the arcing period to be controlled thereby controlling the plasma.
