Lock with two additional locking bolts - has bolts installed in door-post and driven into sockets in door by action of main lock

The lock provides additional security. It is enclosed in a sheet metal housing and fitted in the doorpost or adjacent masonry. The lock has two bolts (2) which are held in the unlocked position by compression springs (3). The lock housing has an opening (1) to receive the bolt of the main lock which is fitted to the door. When the main lock bolt is driven by the key into the opening (1) it acts on the ends of two levers which pivot on pins (8). As these levers are rotated they push the bolts (2) into sockets in the door to provide additional security. USE/ADVANTAGE - Door lock with additional security.
