PURPOSE:To miniaturize an outer shape, and unnecessitate an externally mounting circuit for detecting the fusion of a fuse, by boring holes in a varistor substratum, and making said holes contain at least a temperature fuse. CONSTITUTION:Three holes 1a, 1b, 1c along the axial direction are formed in a cylindrical varistor sabstrutum 1. A temperature fuse 7, a lamp circuit 6, and a buzzer circuit 8 are contained in the holes 1a, 1b, 1c of the substratum 1, respectively. Inner surface electrodes 3, 4, 5 are connected by using conductor 26 and solder 25, and a varistor is connected in parallel. When an excessive current flows through terminals 13, 14, the cylindrical varistor is heated. The heat is conducted to the temperature fuse 7 on the inside and fuses it. When it is fused, voltages are applied to the buzzer circuit 8 and a lamp circuit 6, thereby alarming the fusion of a fuse with sound and light. |
