Test strips for use in the analytical clinical chemistry are made of a carrier, e.g. of an extruded plastic material, pref. polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide or polyester. The test strips are laid in parallel grooves and the edges of the grooves are deformed by the application of blunt tools (arrows) or ultrasound to fix the test strips. The carriers are finally cut up as shown.
