The power driven adjuster for the track rod of a vehicle counters a lock nut with a socket wrench like centre whose width is the same as the lock nut. The centre and a toothed rack form a radial opening for the track rod to enter. The rack meshes with two drive cogs of which at least one is constantly in mesh regardless of the revolution of the radial opening. The centre (4) and the rack (5) form part of a counter disc (3) in whose axis is a control disc (6) with curved slots (8) and a blocking adjusting disc (11) with jaws held open by springs. The jaws are operated by a motor to close on the track rod and grip it tightly (14). USE/ADVANTAGE - There is no relative movement between the track rod and the stressing head.
