PURPOSE:To eliminate irregularity and blot in a toner image on a sheet material and to obtain an excellent multicolor image by respectively forming the images with conductive magnetic toner of different colors on a recording member and bringing the sheet material into contact with the recording member so that the respective images may be successively superposed and transferred. CONSTITUTION:A voltage in accordance with a recording signal is impressed on electrode needles 7b arranged in a line. The recording member 1 is provided with a conductive layer 1a whose surface is covered with an insulating layer 1b and relatively moves with respect to the needle 7b while keeping a gap with the needle 7b so as to form the image with the conductive magnetic toner 3. A magnetic field generation means 5 forms the chain of the conductive magnetic toner 3 between the needle 7b and the member 1. A roller 2 is arranged on the downstream side of the needle 7b in the moving direction of the member 1 so as to transfer and fix the toner image formed on the member 1 to the sheet material 4. A pressing means 6 presses the member 1 and the roller 2. Thus, the image is surely transferred and fixed without causing the irregularity and the blot in the toner image on the sheet material and the excellent multicolor image is obtained. |
