PURPOSE:To form a desired light distribution pattern by forming a cut line at the cut angle phi with a sub-reflector when the low-beam filament of an H4 bulb is lighted. CONSTITUTION:A sub-reflector 11a is vertically formed in a segment of the angle phi above the horizontal axis X, and a sub-reflector 11b is formed in a segment of the angle phi below it. A main reflector 11c is formed in the other segment. The vertical cross section of the optical path of the light emitted from a light source and reflected by a reflector 11 is nearly parallel with the Z-axis. The reflected light of the sub-reflector 11a is diffused upward, and the reflected light of the sub-reflector 11b is diffused downward respectively. When a low-beam filament 10b is lighted and the light distribution pattern of the reflected light by the reflector 11 is observed, the light does not reach the area shown by parallel slant lines because the lower portion of the low-beam filament 10b is covered by a shade 10c. |
