PURPOSE:To enable operation of the title label printer in a case of erroneous mounting of a memory to be forbidden by a method wherein a start memory in which a specified address of which read is executed with a microcomputer just after starting is written, is established. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 1 of a printed wiring board 3a executes read of a ROM 4a following a specified address written in a start data memory (SDM) 10 irrespective of read of a defined specified address. That is, 'address N' is written as the specified address in a SDM10 of A in a type of a device. Further, system software is written from 'address N' into the ROM 4a for A in the type of the device. Therefore, through a ROM for B in the type of the device is misguidedly mounted on the printed wiring board 3a of A in the type of the device, since the microcomputer 1 executes read from 'address N' as the specified address written in the SDM10, a label printer of A in the type of the device is not operated. |
