PURPOSE:To realize a high precise and inexpensive original density discriminating function by detecting the size of an original through the use of plural reflection type sensors and measuring the density of the original. CONSTITUTION:Packages 5 are arranged on four places under the placing plate of the original, and its size is determined according to respective output results. When the original 105 is on the placing plate 106, a press-contacting plate 3 is closed and its opening angle is alpha deg., a microswitch SWa 4 is turned on by an actuator 3a provided on the press-contacting plate 3. This timing is taken as trigger, and the output of each sensor is fetched in a CPU. When the plate 3 is closed, a microswitch SWb 9 is turned on and at least, one output level is read from sensors to obtain original density data. |
