PURPOSE:To obtain a stable image and to attain the improvement in the life of a developer by adhering acicular magnetic particles to the surface of a toner of the 2-component developer incorporating the toner and a magnetic carrier. CONSTITUTION:In the 2-component developer incorporating the toner and the magnetic carrier, the acicular magnetic particles are adhered on the surface of the toner. Here the toner is a normal toner incorporating a binder resin, a coloring agent and a charge control agent and as the acicular magnetic particle an acicular magnetite, an acicular ferrite, etc., are used. The covering ratio of the acicular magnetic particles on the toner surface is preferably 0.2-20%. Thus the 2-component developer improved on the developer life and the environmental dependability is obtained. |
