PURPOSE:To secure safety by providing an auxiliary energizing means for a spring energizing the accelerator pedal in an accelerator of a battery vehicle thereby returning the accelerator pedal to non-input state upon breaking of the spring. CONSTITUTION:When an accelerator is operating normally, stepping of an accelerator pedal 20 causes rotation of an arm 32 through a rod 31 and an accelerator sensor 60 detects the stepping amount in the form of proportional voltage. Upon release of the accelerator pedal 20, the accelerator pedal 20 is returned to no-input state by the tensile force of a spring 51 and the weight of a counterweight 70. Upon breaking of the spring 51, operator releases the accelerator pedal 20 which is then returned to no-input state by the weight of the counterweight 70. |
