<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the MUSE-EDTV converter with high picture quality by providing a time filter to entirely remove a return in the direction of time base. CONSTITUTION:A motion adaptive return removing circuit is composed of three one-field delay circuits 4 to execute delay for 1/60 seconds, adder 7 and constant multiplier 9. With the output data of a motion detecting circuit 5a as a control signal, a MIX circuit 6a proportionally mixes a signal adding four fields in a still picture area by using the three one-field delay circuits and a signal delaying one field in a moving picture area for the unit of a picture element. Thus, a converted picture reducing picture quality degradation can be obtained.</p> |
