PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality image stably against environmental variation and the electrostatic charge image developing carrier superior in durability by using 2-layer structured resin particles having a fluororesin as a shell for the resin coating layer of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl monomer is seed polymerized in an amount of 20 - 99.5wt.% in the presence of a 0.005 - 80wt.% self-dispersible aqueous resin emulsion of the fluororesin having an average particle diameter of 0.005 - 0.2mmu prepared by copolymerizing a 5 - 95wt.% fluorinated monomer, a 5 - 60wt.% surface active vinyl monomer, and other 0 - 90wt.% monomer having a radically polymerizable unsaturated bond, and the 2-layer structure resin particles having the fluororesin as a shell, thus permitting the carrier using these resin particles as the coating layer to have excellent toner fixation preventive characteristics, water and oil repellency, and charging stability, each of them being the characteristics of the fluororesin, in spite of a small content of the fluororesin, and adhesion of the film, flexibility, and strength to be freely controlled. |
