<p>PURPOSE:To make a printing of multivalued representation compatible with a printing of high speed binary representation by driving print execution means, which is to be operated by mutli-bit printing data, by 1-bit printing data. CONSTITUTION:When a printing of multivalued representation is to be carried out, input/output of a data line 41 is to be applied to a selector 44. A 2-bit printing data for the multivalued representation to be inputted form a printer controller 11 is transferred to an interface 12 for the use of printing of the multivalued representation. When a printing of binary representation is to be carried out, the selector 44 makes an input of a data line 40 applied to an output of the data line 41. Then, a 1-bit printing data for the binary representation to be inputted by the data line 40 from the printer controller 11 is divided into the data lines 40 and 41 at a data conversion circuit 42 so as to be converted into a pseudo 2-bit printing data and transferred to the interface 12 for the use of the printing of the binary representation.</p> |
