PURPOSE:To enable utilization of not only the sensible heat of ice but also the latent heat thereof by a method wherein a refrigerant cooled in a heat accumulating tank is circulated in a closed circuit to cool a heat exchanger, and the refrigerant produces emulsion wherein water is dispersed in a coolloidal state in hydrophobic liquid. CONSTITUTION:An ice making freezer 1 comprising a compressor 11, a condenser 12, and an ice making part 13 circulates a refrigerant in a heat accumulating tank 2 between the ice making part 1 and the heat accumulating tank with the aid of a pump 3 to cool the refrigerant. Further, emulsion being the refrigerant is prepared in a way that oil is mixed in water, an emulsifying agent is added, and the mixture is agitated by an emulsifier. Provided other substance than oil is liquid having a hydrophobic property, a substance having a low specific gravity ratio between water and hydrophobic liquid is preferable in terms of stability. A refrigerant cooled through drive of a freezer 1 is fed to a heat exchanger 6 with the aid of a pump 4 and fed back to a heat accumulating tank 2 through a feedback pipe 7 again to repeat this circulation. Since all water in a colloidal state in the accumulating tank 2 produces ice through drive of the freezer 1 by means of a midnight power, mainly the heat of fusion of ice is utilized during heat exchange of the heat exchanger 6, and a quantity of heat of exchange containing exchange of a sensible heat is also increased. |
