PURPOSE:To manufacture a highly anti-corrosive rare earth/iron/boron permanent magnet with high productivity by applying a coating of inorganic polymer to a green compact which consists of heat resistant thermoplastic resin of a specified volume percentage and rare earth/ion/boron magnet powder of specified volume percentage. CONSTITUTION:Heat resistant thermoplastic resin of 3 to 35vol.% and rare earth/iron/boron magnet powder of 97 to 65vol.% are combined. Combination rate for the process can be selected properly in consideration of balance between magnetic property and configuration holding; however, configuration is hard to be held when a resin component is less than 3vol.% and magnetic property remarkably lowers when it exceeds 35vol.%. A desirable use amount of a resin component is 3 to 15vol.%, 3 to 10vol.% is more desirable, and 4 to 6vol.% is the most desirable. Combination method is not especially limited; however, coating or attaching is more desirable than dry blend from a viewpoint of improvement of magnet property. |
