PURPOSE:To contrive the improvements in the developer life and the image characteristics by constituting a magnetic carrier with spherical granulated magnetic carrier particles and deformed granulated magnetic carrier particles, and specifying the blending ratio. CONSTITUTION:This developer incorporates the magnetic toner and the magnetic carrier and the magnetic carrier is practically consisting of the spherical granulated magnetite carrier particles and the deformed granulated magnetite carrier particles. The blending ratio is 20-70% by weight of the spherical particles and 30-80% by weight of the deformed particles. Here, as the quantity the deformed particles is increased, the napping height of the magnetite brush is higher, the contact surface with a photosensitive body being increased, and then the developing property is increased more and the snapping effect of the toner stuck to the photosensitive body is increased. Thus the developer life and the image characteristics are improved. |
