PURPOSE:To detect accurate temperature without being affected by outside temperature by providing a temperature sensor inside the outer shell casing of a developing device and in a place where the sensor is separated in developer non-agitating operation. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor 1 as the temperature sensor is provided above a doctor blade 2 fitted at an upper part in the developing device and detects the temperature. At the position, the sensor is separated from the developer in the developer non-agitating operation (in image non-formation), and the thermistor 1 at this position is provided inside the outermost shell casing 4 of the developing device. Consequently, the accurate temperature is detected without being affected by the temperature outside the developing device. |
