A high-frequency heating apparatus (K1) including a heating vessel (44) for accommodating an article to be heated, which is detachably loaded in a heating chamber (33), a stirring mechanism (45) provided in the heating vessel (44), a guide mechanism (46) for guiding the heating vessel (44) so as to horizontally displace the heating vessel (44) into the heating chamber (33) from an opening formed on a side face of the heating chamber (33), a rotational drive mechanism (42) for driving the stirring mechanism (45) so as to rotate the stirring mechanism (45) and a coupling mechanism (43) for transmitting a driving force from the rotational drive mechanism (42) to the stirring mechanism (45), the stirring mechanism (45) including a transmission gear (59) mounted on a lower end of a stirring shaft (27) extending through a bottom wall of the heating vessel (44), the coupling mechanism (43) including a gear (55) mounted on an upper end of a central shaft (40) in the heating chamber (33) and engageable with the transmission gear (49).
