Oil distribution system for IC engine - uses lengths of pipe with ends sealed into partitions in crankcase

The distribution channel consists of individual lengths between the crankcase partitions through which it passes, each length grooved right round where it meets the partition for a sealing ring, with oil distribution ports led off the partition passage holes. Each channel length between partitions (11, 12) should consist of a plug-in pipe (18, 19, 20) as long as the centre distance of the partitions (11, 12) so that the pipes abut one another. Each pipe is stepped in collar fashion adjacent to its groove (21) and each pipe endface has a radial groove (23). USE/ADVANTAGE - I.c. engines, oil lubrication. Channel formed from abutted pipes reduces sealing outlay and simplifies assembly.
