TRAVEL DEVICE IN CONDUIT LINE AND PASSING METHOD OF STEPPED SECTION OF THE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To pass a travelling body in a conduit line easily through a stepped section by separately expanding and contracting and curving a plurality of flexible expansible bodies installed between mounting plates at the front and rear of the travelling body and inclining the mounting plates in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:Engaging bodies 13a, 13b in a conduit line expanding and contracting by air, mounting plates 11a, 11b, and guide rolls 12a1-12a3, 12b1-12b3 expanding and contracting in the radial direction are mounted at the front end section and rear end section of a travelling body 10 in the conduit line 1. Three flexible expansible bodies 17-1-17-3 are set up between the mounting plates 11a and 11b, and a camera 15 for monitor is fitted in front of the progressive direction. The travelling body 10 at the front nose of a cable 16 for control is moved forward by compressed air from a compressor 4 while monitoring the CRT 5a of a console panel 5. When the travelling body 10 reaches a stepped section 2, a console panel 5b is operated, the flexible expansible bodies 17-1-17-3 are expanded and contracted, and the mounting plates 11a, 11b are inclined in the radial direction. Accordingly, the travelling body 10 is passed easily through the stepped section. The title method is suitable for inspection in the conduit line.
