<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a semiconductor storage device in accordance with the miniaturization of a back-up power supply by protecting the data with the use of a compact back-up power supply. CONSTITUTION:A power failure monitoring means 2 always detects the voltage of a power supply means 6 and monitors the power failure. A back-up power supply 7 supplies the power in place of the means 6 in power failure. A transfer control means 3 transfers the data stored in a storage means 4 to a nonvolatile storage means 5 when the means 2 detects a power failure. A power capacity monitoring means 9 informs a display device of the capacity of the power supply 7. The an electric switch 10 interrupts the power supplied from the power supply 7 when the transfer of data is completed between means 4 and 5. Thus the power supplied from the power supply 7 is interrupted at the time of power failure when the transfer of data is completed. Thus, the power supply 7 consumes no extra power.</p> |
