<p>PURPOSE:To decrease defects and improve the display quality without any increase in cost by composing a charging path to one picture element of two paths by using three TFTs. CONSTITUTION:Picture elements 14(Ci,j) corresponding to respective scanning lines Xi and signal lines Yj are each charged by three TFTs 11a, 11b, and 11c which are controlled by the lines Xi. Then each picture element 14(Ci,j) has an auxiliary capacitor 12 formed of SiNX, TaCX, etc., between a common electrode 15 or the scanning lines Xi. The picture element (Ci,j) is charged to Vi-1, j by receiving information on the signal line Yj through a TFT 11d, etc., at the timing where the scanning line Xi-1 is selected. Consequently, even a display picture element which includes a defective TFT has the same quality with picture elements which are driven normally and the liquid crystal display which has superior picture quality is obtained.</p> |
