<p>PURPOSE:To make grooves for printing elements uniform in depth while nearly preventing the increase of the width by spraying a ferric chloride etching soln. having a high concn. at a high temp. on the surface of a metal sheet with a patternwise formed resist under a high pressure at a narrow interval. CONSTITUTION:A ferric chloride soln. having >47 deg.Be' conc. at >60 deg.C is sprayed on the surface of a metal sheet with a patternwise formed resist under >2 kg f/cm<2> pressure at <15 cm interval. By this method, etching proceeds more remarkably in the thickness direction of the sheet than in the transverse direction and grooves for printing elements are not considerably extended in the transverse direction but are deepened, accordingly grooves for printing elements are accurately made while nearly preventing shallowing at both sides.</p> |
