PURPOSE: To easily extract coffee powder 6 by using a drip type coffee maker by heating water in a reservoir with microwave energy of a microwave oven, and conveying a pressurized heated water into a coffee powder through a U-shaped conveying tube. CONSTITUTION: The water reservoir portion 14 of a coffee heater 10 arranged in a microwave oven is arranged on a vessel 16 such as a water jug. The water reservoir portion 14 and its structural member of the vessel 16 are made of a microwave permeable material such as a polycarbonate. A conveying tube 40 is inserted into the upper opening portion 38 of a main body 20, an inlet tube 48 elongated into a space 22 and an outlet tube 54 for penetrating a passage 56 are communicated each other. When the coffee heater 10 is exposed under the microwave energy, the water of the water reservoir portion 14 is heated and the interior pressure of the space 22 is increased. A heated water by the increased pressure is pushed upward in the inlet tube 48, and passed through a spreading plate 58 from the passage 56 to the outlet tube 54, and then poured into the coffee powder in a basket 30. The dripped coffee is passed through the bottom of the basket 30, and then flowed into the vessel 16. |
