PURPOSE:To steadily form a highly sensitive image for a long period by interposing a stage which irradiates a photosensitive layer with destaticizing light having a specific wavelength between repeated image forming stages. CONSTITUTION:The stage which irradiates the photosensitive layer 101 with the destaticizing light having a wavelength >=600nm is interposed between the repeated stages which repeat toner image formation and transfer. A light destaticizing stage 30 is inserted after a developing stage and before an uniform electrifying stage 21. A normal halogen lamp, a normal tungsten lamp, an LED, etc., are used as a light source, and when a wavelength light <=600nm is cut by a filter, various obstacles caused by short wave light are evaded. An irradiating light quantity is preferably 0.1 - 100muj/cm<2>. Thus, the rising in a residual potential and surface potential in the repeated processed is minimized and the lowering in sensitivity and the degradation of an image quality are avoided. |
