PURPOSE:To realize the high speed serial/parallel conversion by a smaller number of hardware by providing a connecting line between an element processor of the end of each line and each element processor of its line, in a one- dimensional inter-processor transfer system in the line direction. CONSTITUTION:In an operation for converting serial data Aij1-Aijm stored in a local memory 12 of an element processor PEij to parallel data Bil-Bim dispersed in the whole line, the serial data is moved to a serial/parallel converter 11 from the memory 12 by a processor 10 (PEij), subjected to serial/ parallel conversion by this converter 11, and moved to each memory 12 through each element processor 10 from this converter 11 by a format of parallel data. Also, the conversion to the serial data from the parallel data can also be executed easily by executing this serial/parallel conversion by a reverse procedure. |
