<p>PURPOSE: To provide the liquid crystal display device of uniform display characteristics having no flicker on a display screen by making equal 'through voltages' to all picture elements and making uniform the write characteristics and hold characteristics of the respective picture elements. CONSTITUTION: When gate signals are successively impressed from a gate driving circuit to gate lines 40a, 40b and 40c, TFT 20, 22, 21 and 23 are successively driven. At the same time, data signals are respectively impressed from a data driving circuit to data lines 30a, 30b and 30c and data are written in picture elements 10, 11, 12 and 13. By changing the channel width of respective TFT for driving the respective picture elements in proportion to the dimensions of respective picture element electrodes, the influence (through voltage) of the gate driving voltage upon picture element electrode potential, the time of write to liquid crystal and the holding time of liquid crystal are fixed regardlessly of the dimensions of picture element electrodes, and flicker on the display screen is prevented.</p> |
