PURPOSE:To execute the OR thinning-out processing in both directions of the (x) direction and the (y) direction by a simple constitution by providing a work line memory part for one-line portion as a hardware. CONSTITUTION:In a deciding means 22, whether a line of image data to be processed at present is a line to be thinned out or not is decided from a thinning-out rate set by a setting part 23 of a reduction rate. At the time of the line to be thinned out, a means 24 works, and as for the image data of its line, OR logic to data stored in a work line memory part 21 is taken, and a result of its operation is written in the work line memory part 21 again. On the other hand, at the time of data of the line which is not thinned out, a thinning-out processing means 25 works, an OR logical operation of the data of this line and the data stored in the work line memory part 21 is executed, and image data of a result of the thinning-out processing in the (y) direction is outputted from this thinning-out processing part 25. |
