<p>PURPOSE:To detect the status of snow accretion accurately, and to protect and maintain a transmission line by transmitting an output from a transmission section having a built-in high frequency oscillator installed on a transmission line over the transmission line and detecting received signal strength at a specified distance on the same transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency oscillating section case 2 is fitted onto a transmission line 1. A through transformer 21 is set up into the case 2, a battery 23 is charged through a power circuit 22 while a high-frequency oscillation circuit 24 is energized, and a high-frequency signal 4 for detection is transmitted over the transmission line 1. A detecting section case 3 is mounted on the transmission line 1 at a fixed distance. A through transformer 31 for a power supply is mounted into a case 3, and a battery 33 is charged through a power circuit 32 while a high-frequency reception circuit 34 is energized. A radio transmitter 35 is modulated in response to the level of the high-frequency signal 4 received, and a radio signal 5 is sent from an antenna 36, and received at a remote place not shown. When the quantity of snow accretion is increased, a reception level is lowered. Accordingly, the quantity of snow accretion is remotely monitored precisely.</p> |
