The invention relates to a shopping trolley of the sort comprising a chassis and comprising at least one basket intended to receive purchases and a support which is located lower than the basket and which can be moved towards the rear from a rest position into a use position and vice-versa, and which is designed, preferably, to receive crates of drink. This shopping trolley is characterised by the fact that the rear transverse connection (14) of the support (7) includes a bumper strip which extends essentially over the entire width of the transverse connection (14) and in which is formed a grasping area or that the transverse connection (14) consists of the bumper strip itself and also includes a grasping area.
