PURPOSE:To enhance the uniformity of a color forming layer by specifying a coupling component enhanced in oil solubility. CONSTITUTION:In a photosensitive thermal recording material wherein a recording layer containing a diazo compound, a coupling component and an org. base is provided on a support, the coupling component being a 15C or more cyclohexane-1, 3-dione derivative substituted with an alkyl or aryl group containing a nitrogen atom at its fifth position is used to make it possible to obtain the photosensitive thermal recording material excellent in the preservability and stability of an emulsion and low in the fog of a background part. As the cyclohexane-a, 3-dione derivative, one whose fourth position is substituted with an electron withdrawing group such as a substituted carbonyl group or a cyano group or a hydrogen group is pref. from an aspect easy to synthesize and easy to obtain a raw material. |
