PURPOSE:To feed a sheet properly by rotating a driving gear for predetermined time before the sheet arrives at resist rollers following the turning-on of an image forming start switch. CONSTITUTION:Even when a crest of a driving gear 10 and a crest of a driven gear 11 are in contact with a split device body 2,3 being closed, the driving gear 10 is rotated before a sheet arrives at resist rollers 6,7. Consequently, a crest of the driving gear 10 slides into a root of a driven gear 12 so that the engagement of both the gears 10 and 12 is properly made. Subsequently the sheet is fed to the resist rollers 6,7. |
