PURPOSE:To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric excellent in processability, handleability and further durability by continuously changing the flameproofing degree from one surface of a nonwoven fabric to the other or from both the surfaces to the central part. CONSTITUTION:The objective nonwoven fabric is obtained by continuously changing the flameproofing degree from one surface of the nonwoven fabric to the other or from both the surfaces to the central part in a flameproofed nonwoven fabric composed of acrylic fiber. Furthermore, the flameproofing treatment of the aforementioned nonwoven fabric is carried out by bringing the one surface of the above-mentioned nonwoven fabric into contact with a heated roller in an oxidizing medium such as air and gradually carrying out oxidation treatment from the surface to the interior thereof. |
