PURPOSE:To improve water tightness between a weather strip and a door window pane by embedding an inverted V-shaped metal core in an abutting part of edge of door window pane in the outer wall part of hollow seal of weather strip so that an edge of door window pane is received thereby. CONSTITUTION:When a door is closed, a hollow seal 22 of weather strip 21 is pushed upward by an edge 15a of door window pane 15. Then, an outer wall of weather strip 21 turns clockwise around a central protrusion 26a together with an inverted V-shaped metal core 26 to deform the seal 22 largely to be thereby force abutted on the inner face of door window pane 15. Resuming force based on the deformation acts on an edge 15a of door window pane 15 to ensure high water tightness in the abutting part. When high pressure water such as of washing water is applied to the weather strip 21, on the other hand, it words on a right hollow 24 of weather strip 21, and the metal core 26 turns counterclockwise around the centeral protrusion 26a, thereby pressurizing the edge 15a for improving the water-tightness. |
