The invention concerns a method and plough arrangement by which a shunting engine is easily and quickly converted to a snow plough and then back to a shunting engine. The invention comprises a plough wing which can be pivoted from the engine's side to a ploughing position and then back to the engine's side when the engine is being used as a shunting engine. According to the invention, a lifting door 4 for the plough wing 1, 2 has been pivotably mounted on a column in the corner of the engine end-wall and can be raised and lowered, and the plough wing 1, 2 can be pivoted, by means of hydraulic cylinders, so as to serve as a front wing or side wing or to assume a shunting position against the engine's side. According to the invention, lifting doors have been mounted on columns in the opposite end-wall corners of the engine for essentially identical plough wings. As a result of this, the engine can be driven forwards and backwards, for example for roller-type ploughing. The ploughing can be done either to the right or to the left. <IMAGE> |
