PURPOSE:To achieve little abrasion of a dot wire, to have lightfastness of the same extent as that of printed matter by an ink ribbon for which carbon black is used and to prevent a read error with an ORC device from occurring by a method wherein a coloring agent of ink is formed by compounding an azo series black pigment having an azomethine radical and graphite. CONSTITUTION:By jointly usi g an azo series black pigment having an azo- methine radical and graphite as a coloring agent of ink of an ink ribbon, the ink ribbon providing printed matter which is excellent in both lightfastness and infrared absorption, can be prepared. A content in the ink of a total quantity of abovementioned organic pigment and graphite is 1-40wt.% in the ink considering printing density, lightfastness, fuidity of ink, etc., and should be preferably 5-30wt.%. By using within those ranges, an excellent result can be obtained. |
