PURPOSE:To correctly continue a test even when a ROM mounted on a filing device to be a testing object is defective by executing the test based upon a program stored in a ROM applied as a reference. CONSTITUTION:When a flip flop(FF) 9 is in a reset state, the contents of a ROM 12 mounted on a controller 11 are imparted to a microprocessor 2, and when the FF 9 is in a set state, the contents of a ROM(Rn) mounted on a filing device Fn to be tested which is designated by a register 7 are imparted. The ROM 12 has the same contents as the ROM(Rn) and the microprocessor 2 normally holds the FF 9 at the reset state and executes a program by a ROM 4, a RAM 5 and the ROM 12 to test the filing device Fn. Thereby, even when the ROM(Rn) is defective, the microprocessor 2 can execute a test without generating runway. |
