PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in rotational responsiveness of a motor due to chips by defining the filter mesh of a fuel supply port provided between a pump main body and a motor, or on the surface opposite to the side of the pump main body of a motor housing, as smaller than the gap between a rotor and a stator. CONSTITUTION:When chips generated when a follow screw 71 is screwed in an opening 91 on the side wall of a spacer body 9, are larger than the gap between a motor rotor 62 and a stator 63. They are collected by a filter member 72, and not allowed flow in a fuel chamber 1a together with fuel, even when the fuel is supplied via the screw 71. Even when smaller chips pass through the filter member 72, and flow in, the fuel flow runs in the fuel chamber 1a in the direction to a fuel exhaust port 18. Since the flow in the direction to a step motor 6 is not generated at the time, the chips do not intrude in a motor 6. Therefore, there is no apprehension of deteriorated control responsiveness which may take place due to an increased resistance caused by the chips caught between the rotor and the stator. |
