PURPOSE:To reduce the change of transfer capacity required for a radio section when the moving speed of a mobile station changes by setting the dimension of the position registration area in advance corresponding to the speed of each mobile station. CONSTITUTION:When moving at the moving speed corresponding to a mobile station 41 and a high-speed mode A, the position registration is performed in positions 52/53/54 where the information contents of a time slot changes accompanied by the movement of the movile station 41. When the station 41 transfers a position registration request signal to a radio base station, the position registration area where the mobile station exists is discriminated in the radio base station while adding the information indicating the performance of the position registration based on the position registration discrimination signal of the mode A. When the mobile station 41 moves at the moving speed 51 of a low-speed mode B, the position registration is performed only in the position 53 where the information contents of the time slot changes accompanied by the movement of the mobile station since the station 41 refers to the only time slot corresponding to the mode B. |
