<p>PURPOSE:To improve separating performance in an automatic manuscript feeding device by providing a separating member having plural separate faces different in the coefficient of friction, making the abutting position of the separating member changeable as occasion demands, and in such a case, returning the separating member to its original state after one sheet is fed. CONSTITUTION:A separating member 6 is formed of separate faces 6a-6d different in the coefficient of friction. When a knob 39 is operated on an outside indication to command the separate face according to the kind of a manuscript P, a separating member changing means 4 sets a selected separate face at its separative action position. Thus a sheet of the manuscript P has been fed by feed rollers 2, and the separating member changing means 4 returns the separating member 6 to its original state on a detecting motion signal for feed completion issued from a feed sensor 51, and is on the standby alert for the following manuscript feeding in an state where the separate face 6a is to abut.</p> |
