There is here described an electric operating assembly for electric appliances, such as ovens and electric hot- plates, comprising a mechanical programmer defined by a first insulating body which has a plurality of switches and a rotating shaft provided with respective control levers for the switches, and by a terminal block with connections defined by a second insulating body which has a plurality of electric contacts; the body of the terminal connection block presents a profiled seating which receives the coincident body of the programmer, and this latter is mechanically and electrically connected under pressure to the terminal connection block by means of respective terminals opposite each one of the said switches, profiled as Faston-type laminar contacts and inserted in a manner such as to extend through respective slots of the terminal connection block from out of which respective V-profiled laminar contacts of the same project. <IMAGE>
