Improvements to the subject of patent No. 8802702, submitted on 2.9.88, for an improved device applicable to the fitting of motor-vehicle identification insignia, in which the insignia is integral with a plinth which can slide vertically between an upper position, in which the insignia is located outside the bodywork, and another, inner position, in which it is located inside said bodywork. The aforesaid plinth is fixed to the end of the rod of a vertical, double-acting hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder housed inside the vehicle bodywork.
