Air filter with filtering supplement in the form of sheets 3, which can be fitted laterally into a channel casing 1, with wedge-type fastening for the leaktight support of a closure seal 10, which surrounds the blade- type filtering supplement 3, in the channel casing 1, in which the wedge-type fastening is achieved by means of an engagement of the wedges 6 which produce the fastening achieved only after engagement of the filtering supplement. The wedges 6 may be adapted to a piece in the form of a box 5 which houses a housing frame 4 for the sheet-type filtering supplement 3 displaceable in the direction of engagement. <IMAGE>
