The problem of polluting spills from ships is a serious accident not only on account of the direct economic consequences, but also on account of the ecological catastrophe they usually generate. For both reasons, the existence of a process which would prevent this transfer from the inside to the outside, and vice versa, the latter enhancing the ship's buoyancy, may be achieved by arranging an impermeable sheet over the fracture zone and by adhering it around its perimeter with sufficient force in order to keep it in a suitable position either by means of electromagnets or by means of suction cups aided by a securing system with springs. This process will make it possible to keep in their place the fluids which would otherwise leak out and to prevent external liquids from penetrating inside, this later circumstance constituting an improvement of a ship's buoyancy.
